December is a traditional time to summarize the year which is coming to an end.
Serhii Yevdokymov, Head of Sigma Software Unity Fund, recollects the activities, projects, and accomplishments of the Fund in 2024.
“Since 2022, the total amount transferred to help the Ukrainian army and Ukrainians has exceeded $4.8 million.
In 2024, the company, fund, our partners, and colleagues allocated ca $700,000 to various projects aimed at strengthening city security, restoring infrastructure, assisting civilians, and supporting the army. This year, we mainly focused on the needs of the Armed Forces and responded to numerous urgent requests. Among them were equipment for defenders, Starlinks and electronics, different construction equipment, drones as well as Ecoflows stations.
We helped purchase and repair military vehicles for the Armed Forces. Over 100 laptops and computers were transferred to various military units.
Among the most notable projects was helping the Okhmatdyt Hospital —the biggest pediatric institution in Ukraine — to restore and purchase necessary equipment damaged during the enemy shelling.
In honor of Sigma Software’s 22nd birthday, we organized a large fundraising campaign in partnership with the Kharkiv IT Cluster to support an important project to develop a system for protecting Ukrainian cities. We managed to gather about $43,000.
We cooperated with medical centers, hospitals, and volunteer organizations in different fields. We supported Kharkiv Rehabilitation Spine Center, which helps our defenders to recover; gathered clothes for the hospitals on the frontline, and donated blood for the Kharkiv Blood Center.
We helped equip protected educational facilities at KhAI University in Kharkiv and provided funds for computer classroom hardware for a school located in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Despite the hard times we experience now, we are sure that cultural and educational development must continue. Thus, the fund engaged in events and contests for talented youth and launched personal grants for rising Ukrainian tennis and rowing stars who moved to Sweden due to the war.
The Fund also became a partner of “Bucha” movie screening in Ukraine and abroad. The movie shows the world the real history of Ukraine, prevents distortion of facts, and fights disinformation.
We believe in our Victory and will support the Ukrainian defenders in their heroic fight for our country!”
We are United by Victory and inspired by our Unity!
