UAH 589,000 Raised for Kharkiv City Perinatal Center

We have completed the annual fundraising campaign dedicated to Sigma Software’s anniversary and aimed at renovating one of the neonatal care unit blocks at the Kharkiv City Perinatal Center. The project will be implemented with the support of the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charity Fund.

The Perinatal Center provides specialized care for newborns every day, including premature babies, infants born with medical complications, and those requiring additional care after intensive treatment. Each year, around 2,000 newborns from Kharkiv and other frontline cities receive care and support there.

“Renovating the neonatal unit is an ambitious project that required substantial funding. Kharkiv is our company’s home city, which makes supporting the Center especially meaningful for us. These are the children of our city. New lives that today need our protection and support,” said Serhii Yevdokymov, Head of Sigma Software Unity Fund.

To begin the renovation, UAH 589,000 was required. Thanks to the support of colleagues, partners, friends of the company and the Fund, and everyone who joined the initiative, more than UAH 118,000 was raised through donations. To ensure renovation work could begin without delay, Sigma Software contributed the remaining funds needed to fully finance the project.

“The next few months will be dedicated to renovation work in the neonatal unit. We will work to make this space comfortable for mothers and babies and convenient for medical staff,” shared Daria Guzieieva, Partnership Manager at the Peaceful Heaven of Kharkiv Charity Fund.

This is the third consecutive year that Sigma Software has organized its annual anniversary fundraising campaign and it has become a meaningful tradition that brings together colleagues, partners, friends, and the broader IT community in support of important social initiatives. In previous years, the campaign helped support the creation of protection systems for Ukrainian frontline cities as well as the development of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center. The total amount of assistance delivered through the initiative has now exceeded UAH 2.9 million.

This year’s fundraising campaign was the longest in the project’s history and ran from mid-May until the end of August. Over that time, it united a large community of supporters

from different parts of the world. We did not manage to raise the full amount through community donations alone, but we succeeded in drawing attention to the needs of the Perinatal Center in frontline Kharkiv, bringing people together around the initiative, and most importantly, launching changes that are already taking place.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who supported the campaign by making a donation, sharing information, participating in activities, providing gifts for charity raffles, or simply telling others about the project.

Thanks to this collective support, renovation work has already begun. We will continue to share updates and show how the space for Kharkiv’s youngest patients is being transformed.
