Results of the year 2024

December is a traditional time to summarize the year which is coming to an end.

Serhii Yevdokymov, Head of Sigma Software Unity Fund, recollects the activities, projects, and accomplishments of the Fund in 2024.

“Since 2022, the total amount transferred to help the Ukrainian army and Ukrainians has exceeded $4.8 million.

In 2024, the company, fund, our partners, and colleagues allocated ca $700,000 to various projects aimed at strengthening city security, restoring infrastructure, assisting civilians, and supporting the army. This year, we mainly focused on the needs of the Armed Forces and responded to numerous urgent requests. Among them were equipment for defenders, Starlinks and electronics, different construction equipment, drones as well as Ecoflows stations.

We helped purchase and repair military vehicles for the Armed Forces. Over 100 laptops and computers were transferred to various military units.

Among the most notable projects was helping the Okhmatdyt Hospital —the biggest pediatric institution in Ukraine — to restore and purchase necessary equipment damaged during the enemy shelling.

In honor of Sigma Software’s 22nd birthday, we organized a large fundraising campaign in partnership with the Kharkiv IT Cluster to support an important project to develop a system for protecting Ukrainian cities. We managed to gather about $43,000.

We cooperated with medical centers, hospitals, and volunteer organizations in different fields. We supported Kharkiv Rehabilitation Spine Center, which helps our defenders to recover; gathered clothes for the hospitals on the frontline, and donated blood for the Kharkiv Blood Center.

We helped equip protected educational facilities at KhAI University in Kharkiv and provided funds for computer classroom hardware for a school located in the Ukrainian Carpathians. Despite the hard times we experience now, we are sure that cultural and educational development must continue. Thus, the fund engaged in events and contests for talented youth and launched personal grants for rising Ukrainian tennis and rowing stars who moved to Sweden due to the war.
The Fund also became a partner of “Bucha” movie screening in Ukraine and abroad. The movie shows the world the real history of Ukraine, prevents distortion of facts, and fights disinformation.

We believe in our Victory and will support the Ukrainian defenders in their heroic fight for our country!”

We are United by Victory and inspired by our Unity!

Warm clothes collection for our Defenders

A week before Christmas, we launched a collection of warm clothing for the defenders in frontline regions’ hospitals. At the end of the campaign, we received huge parcels from our 11 offices in Ukraine and teammates in Poland. Colleagues brought warm clothes: sweaters, sweatshirts, hats and scarves, pants, underwear, socks, and shoes.

The warm package was sent to our defenders at the stabilization center in the Kharkiv region before the New Year. May these warm clothes comfort those who are recovering now.

Laptops for the State Border Guard Unit of Ukraine from organizers of the L.E.A.D. conference

Nowadays, everything works for Victory, and education is not an exception!
Last year, the L.E.A.D. conference was held for the internal and external professional community and provided valuable insights on business development and professional growth. Sigma Software University — the event organizers, donated Unity Fund a significant part of the proceeds from general ticket sales and all the funds from internal sales.

This donation was directed to fulfill one of our Defenders’ urgent requests: laptops for one of the State Border Guard units. This equipment will help our border guard perform combat missions and bring Victory closer day by day!

Letters of gratitude from our Defenders

In December, we received a letter of gratitude from the 97th Separate Mechanized Battalion, one of the military units we support. Last autumn, Sigma Software Unity Fund purchased and transferred an unmanned ground vehicle to our defenders. This vehicle works like a tracked tow truck robot and helps our servicemen in their combat missions in the Donetsk direction.

We will never stop helping to defend Ukraine against the aggressor! – words that inspired us to keep going in our work.

Our strength is in our Unity!

Support of a Young Tennis Player from the Odesa region

Last year, Sigma Software and Sigma Software Unity Fund joined other Sigma Group companies to support a rising tennis star — Oleksandr Ponomar. Born in 2006 in Odesa region he moved to Sweden before the war to boost his sports career. After receiving a scholarship from Sigma Group companies, he dedicated that season to achieving his ambitious goals. He traveled to two continents and played in major tennis tournaments: Malaysia Juniors J300, Finland Hanko Juniors 100, and Sweden Juniors World Tour 100.

Last fall, Oleksandr switched from Juniors to men’s PRO tournaments — a big step in his tennis career.

Sigma Software is firmly convinced of the importance of working for the future and helping those who will light up Ukraine on the world stage one day. Our company supports young talents and invests its knowledge, time, and charity funds in the Ukrainian youth.

Thank you for supporting Sigma Software Unity Fund during that challenging 2024!

Sigma Software supported the movie “Bucha” on a world tour

Sigma Software and Sigma Software Unity Fund supported the screening of the feature film “Bucha”, based on the true story of the volunteer Konstantin Gudauskas, who saved dozens of lives during the russian occupation of part of the Kyiv region.

The film continues to conquer world cinematographic events: Berlin International Film Festival, screenings in New York and Boston, Venice Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and a screening at the Cinema for Victory event in Ukraine. We are proud to observe the global resonance it makes.

On September 17, during the 40th anniversary of the Warsaw International Film Festival, the official world premiere of the film “Bucha” took place. Among 57 nominees, the film took 2nd place in the audience awards.
In November, special screenings were held in Vienna for the media and OSCE delegations, where the director himself was present. On November 7, the film was released in all Ukrainian cinemas.

The film crew is invited to a special screening at the European Parliament in Brussels in December. Next January, the film will be released on Ukrainian Netflix. Contracts have already been signed for distribution in cinemas in Canada and Portugal. The film team is currently negotiating about screenings in other countries.

The support and help of Ukrainian businesses in dubbing the film into English have helped to promote the film on the global Cinema market.
Sigma Software and Sigma Software Unity Fund were honored to support this important for Ukraine work of the director Stanislav Tiunov. It is extremely important for us to show the world our real history and prevent distortion of facts. This film opens society’s eyes and aims to fight disinformation.
The film has already received a lot of feedback from critics and spectators because it simply cannot leave anyone indifferent.

Gathered 22K UAH during the Day of the City of Kharkiv

On August 23, we celebrated the Day of the National Flag of Ukraine, but it was also the day of the city of Kharkiv, where Sigma Software company originates from.
It is very symbolic that these two holidays are celebrated on the same day, because our flag is a symbol of resilience, heroism, and struggle for independence. Just like Kharkiv, which every day proves its courage and fights for its freedom.
On this day our whole Kharkiv team including the Head of the Sigma Software Fund Sergey Evdokimov, gathered for a warm and cozy celebration and donated to Sigma Software Unity Fund. All the raised funds totaling over 22K UAH were transferred to our defenders who fight in the Kharkiv direction.

Our defenders say “Thank you”
